Year 7 recently visited the Maritime Museum to conclude their studies of the Titanic disaster. We took part in a very lively discussion session with a museum employee who had taken the role of Robert Hitchens, one of the ship’s crew who survived the sinking and had to answer many question about his role in the tragedy. Our pupils engaged with him very well and asked him many intelligent questions. We also looked at a very interesting selection of replica artefacts before walking through the museum. Our pupils were excellent and thoroughly enjoyed their trip.
